Earlier last week Leah developed a croupy cough from having a runny nose. We were worried about her breathing so we had to take her to the doctor and have her use an inhaler with a face mask. She didn't like to be held down for that. But her breathing has improved, and now the cough is getting better too. But let's just say that her sleeping has been interrupted at night because of it. She has a habit now of waking at least once a night and wanting to go out of her room usually to get a cracker or some bread for a snack. Now that she knows some words she'll say "owww, oww" (for out) or "cra, cra" (for cracker). She'll also just call out for me, and it's hard to just let her cry when she's saying "ma, ma, ma, ma."
While she was sick we would just take her out and get her a little snack so she would go back to bed, but now it's get annoying. I've been trying to just make her go back to sleep. It's usually around four in the morning, and I can usually go back to sleep easily. But this morning when she woke up at four a.m., I got her right back to sleep but I couldn't go back to sleep myself. I was so frustrated just laying there knowing that in a few hours I would have to get up for good.
We're just hoping to get her back to sleeping through the night again. What a great day that will be.

Take the tour of our new place
I know you've all been wondering where I've been the last two weeks, and I'm going to go with the obvious answer -- moving. But that's not all of it. We were pretty comfortable in our new place after about a week, and I still didn't get around to blogging. I wanted to show you a tour of our new place so I had to wait up those videos were uploaded. And I can only use the computer when Leah is napping since she wants to climb on my lap any time a computer is turned on. So my time to blog is pretty limited.
We're enjoying all the space we have in our new apartment. As I mentioned in a previous post, we have three bedrooms, lots of storage space, a garage, and a bigger kitchen. Leah now has more room to run around and a short flight of stairs that she loves to climb on. We still have to hang pictures on the wall, but we hope to do some of that this weekend. We're still waiting to hang pictures until we get some more furniture for our living room (such as a bookshelf and more seating). Our upstairs neighbors can be a little noisy sometimes especially when their two active boys are running around and chasing each other. But they are really nice, and the noise hasn't bothered Leah's nap schedule, thank goodness.
Just a short update on Leah as well. She is learning more sounds and parts of words. She also was introduced to nursery last Sunday. I want her to feel comfortable there so I took her in a few weeks early before she turns 18-months (which is on March 4, crazy!). And we're happy to report that she did wonderful. There were only two other kids in nursery last week, which is pretty rare for an Orem ward so I think she didn't feel as overwhelmed. I would have stayed if she was having a hard time, but I asked the nursery leaders if I could go to class and they agreed. We hope she is still comfortable with nursery next Sunday.
We are continuing to meet people at church, and everyone seems to be friendly. I don't think there are too many people moving in this ward so most people recognize us as new. We hope we can make friends like we have in previous wards.
