This past Monday Leah and I started our Parent/Tot swim class at the Provo Recreation Center. I wanted to get her used to the water so when she gets older, she's not scared to get in. The times she hasn't liked swimming was when the water was cold, and she just clang to me. But since we've been going to the pool everyday she is really starting to like the water. She'll let me put her on her stomach and glide towards a toy they provide at the pool. She will also splash her hands, but we're still working on kicking the legs.
When I put her up on the side of the pool, she will lean forward for me to catch her with the biggest grin on her face. I'm so glad she is enjoying herself because I love to swim, especially at my parents' home in Texas.
She has also learned to clap recently. I have been trying to get her to do it for a couple of weeks, and then she started doing it all by herself yesterday. Here is a couple of videos of her clapping.

Oh wow, she can clap and crawl now. She's getting so big!
I'm SO glad you are getting her started on swimming early! It drives me nuts when grown-ups say they can't swim. WHAT? You just kick and flail your arms! So yeah, way to go on getting her to like the water!
Hillary, that picture of you and Leah in your swimsuits is as cute as they come! We can't wait to see you guys in December!
