Before Cameron was born, I bought the book "Healt
hy Sleep Habits, Happy Child" which was one that I read a little while Leah was a baby but didn't really get into it. We didn't know that we would need to train Leah to sleep through the night until she was six or seven months old. She got into some pretty bad habits and continues to have trouble sleeping some times.
So I thought that when we had Cameron I would learn more about how to get your children to sleep well and try my best to use the methods earlier with him.
So far, he has done much better at sleeping than Leah. He usually sleeps for 5-7 hour stretches at night, and takes 2-3 hour naps in the afternoon. And he doesn't sleep at night with a pacifier. This was a bad habit that Leah developed as a baby that as soon as the binkie came out, she would awake and we would have to put it back in. I hope we can continue to help Cameron sleep well, and by the time he's four months (just a ball-park figure) he'll be sleeping straight through the night. That would be wonderful, especially since it seems like I haven't had a good night's rest in a long time.
Here's a recent picture of Leah playing with Logan on Sunday afternoon. I'm usually feeding or changing Cameron so she loves to have one-on-one time with Logan. She's had some issues with taking a nap this week. I guess some days she doesn't feel tired enough to lay still and fall asleep. So this morning I took her to a McDonald's with an indoor play area. I think climbing all through the tunnels made her tired enough because she took a nap today. And I am a happy mom when that happens.
