Time for an update

I'm been consciously avoiding my blog the last month because I felt like I didn't have enough time or energy to put into it. But I know that friends and family need an update on us so they don't think that we have totally stopped blogging.

So here's what we've been up to: making plans for our upcoming trip to Texas to celebrate my dad's 60th birthday, playing outside with the neighbor kids as the weather warms up, reading great fiction novels (this has been me, not Logan), keeping up with March Madness, playing video games on our new XBox and watching movies from Netflix.

My little man is looking grown up with his new hair cut. I love how it turned out except there's one spot in the back where his hair pokes out and no amount of gel or hair spray can keep it down.

My 3-year-old (going on 8 - she's mentioned she'll get baptized when she turns 4) Leah in the dress that my family picked for our family pictures next week. She loves to dress up in it around the house. She actually let me curl her hair that day, but like her mother's hair it doesn't stay curly for very long.

And because Spring has sprung, here is some pictures of us at the park last Saturday. It was a beautiful day but we still had to wear jackets because of the wind.

Cameron is always interested in playing with wood chips at playgrounds, and he's finally learning that he shouldn't put them in his mouth. Most of the time at the park he likes to grab Logan's hand and walk around the park together. He is usually pretty independent when I take the kids to the park by myself, but if his dad is around he likes to hold his hand.

Leah was trying to escape getting her picture taken but I got her anyway. And after she saw me taking some of Cameron, she asked to get her picture taken as she came down the slide.

And a couple of other action shots of the kids at the park. We had a great time hanging out there, but had to get back home to make dinner for our friends coming over to watch the BYU game. It was a good effort for the Cougars but Kansas State just shot much better and was probably the best team they had played all season.
