Pictures before Angie's wedding
Most of the pictures I have from my sister Angie's wedding were posted on Facebook, and if you haven't seem them let me know. So here are some pictures of the days of our trip (just me and Logan) leading up to the wedding. That's right, the kids stayed the four days with their grandma Carolyn and had a wonderful time. We appreciated her sacrifice so much.
My hilarious nephews playing dress-up and anxiously awaiting our arrival from the airport.
My mom ordered two delicious ice cream cakes to celebrate my birthday the day we flew in.
Because Angie's wedding was scheduled on my birthday, my family celebrated it on Saturday. And I felt super spoiled.
The girls stayed up late talking while the boys watched ESPN.
We had fun hanging out and catching up. I love that I have such wonderful sisters. I miss seeing them.
I made a new buddy. Gracie felt really shy with anyone not in her immediate family. So I decided I was going to spend some quality time with her and let her warm up to me. By the end of the trip, we were good friends and I'm so glad that I got to spend some time with her. It helped me not miss Cameron as much (they are the same age).
I loved playing volleyball with my siblings and nephews. There were several times where the ball flew over the fence or landed in the pool, but it was so nice to practice my skills again.
We also had my sister's new in-laws, the Staples family, over for dinner and fun. Evan comes from a great family, and we had a great time getting to know them and celebrating the upcoming wedding.
There were some very wonderful moments during the trip, but one of my favorite moments was when I got a call from Logan saying "Um, uh, will you go on a date with me this afternoon?" Even though we had lots of activities planned and things to do, he still managed to plan some alone time. We had lunch at a yummy Tex-Mex restaurant, On the Border, and then we saw the movie Iron Man II. It was so fun to relax and not worry about the kids on our trip. I think we might have to plan another one of these trips again soon.
