Video Challenges Public Misperceptions, Explains Myths vs. Reality

Here's a great video dispelling myths about our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. If you are not a member, you may want to take a few minutes to watch this video to gain a better understanding about our church.

Our homemade volcano

I found a fun website with all kinds of ideas about recipes, crafts, and activities to do as a family. We found the instructions to made a homemade volcano, and we had all the supplies at our house already. It didn't explode as much as I was hoping, but it had a nice effect. I should of poured a bunch of vinegar in there at once.

Here is the link to how to make the volcano. This is fun project for kids of all ages.

Here is the video to our volcano:

Videos of Cameron

Cameron first says "movie time" (something he learned from Leah) and then I'm trying to get him to say "pillow fight" which is what the kids like to do on our bed.

I was trying to get Cameron to say "de-licious" after eating his meal. He says but Leah says it at the same time so it's hard to hear him.

Drawings and projects by Leah

Here are some drawings and projects by Leah from the past few months. She loves to be creative and make new things. I love her imagination! We never know what she is going to want to draw or cut out next. I hope this will continue as she gets older and starts school.
This is a video of Leah cutting out her family of whales.

This is a scene of a family of whales. The parents are the big ones and the baby is the really small one to the left.

Then she made it into a hat.

This was done just a week ago when we got a big snow storm. She saw a picture of a dinosaur diorama in a book and wanted to make one just like it. We don't have very many plastic dinosaurs so we used barnyard animals instead along with Jasmine. She cut out a lot of the items and came up with the ideas, but she asked me to help with it all.

Here are two pictures of the same dinosaur that she drew on her mini white board she got from Logan's dad for Christmas. The first picture is just of the dinosaur and the bottom picture is the dinosaur all colored in.

The lights on Temple Square

I forgot to mention in my last post that on Christmas Day we took the kids to see the lights on Temple Square in Salt Lake. It brought back so many memories of our wedding that was just before Christmas with all the beautiful Christmas lights. I also remember that wonderful feeling of being sealed for time and eternity to my dearest companion and friend.

It was so fun to share it with the kids and see their excitement in seeing the lights, the Temple bright and beaming, the Nativity scene and the reflection pool. The pictures weren't all that great from our night out but I'll share some with you.
