My new hair cut

I just barely cut my hair yesterday but I'm not sure I like it. I need some input. I'm thinking about going even shorter or getting more layers. I just can't decide. Leave your comment and suggestions, Please!

Leah's Preschool class

Leah and Cameron have been participating in their preschool (other moms from our church take turns teaching and rotate each week) classes for the past 8 months or so, and they love going each week. It's taken Cameron longer to get used to preschool and me leaving him there.
But he looks forward to it now. We may be taking a break soon for the summer.

Leah has always loved going and making new crafts and writing out her letters. She also loves all the kids in her class. Here they are showing off their "All about me" books that they are working on. Her teacher took these pictures several weeks ago.

Discover Gateway Children's Museum

This last Wednesday the kids and I went to the Discovery Gateway Museum with my good friend Deyce and her little boy Logan. She had invited us to go for the last two weeks, but the kids were coughing and her son had a cold. But we finally got together, and she even offered to drive us all up there. So when it was pouring outside we packed in three car seats in the back of her CRV and headed up to Salt Lake.

It was so nice to have a place for the kids to play while it was rainy outside. They had such a great time playing with the different stations. Cameron always loves playing in the water so I made his wear the apron this time. He usually would get soaked playing in the water.

Leah usually loves playing the grocery store area where she loads up her grocery cart and goes to the check out stand.

Birthday celebration

I just wanted to post a few pics from my 30th birthday week, which was a blast by the way, and I wanted to thank everyone for making it so special for me. The only down side to the week was that Logan caught the sore throat and cough that the kids and I had the previous week.

The birthday week started out with us going up to my mother-in-law's house for Mother's Day. We went to church with them and ate a wonderful dinner afterward with Logan's siblings. The kids had a blast playing at Grandma's, and it was wonderful to relax and enjoy the day.

Then these two little ones were so sweet singing to me on my birthday and drawing pictures and bringing me little "presents" to me (which included some 5 lb weights that I bought myself to work out with).
My good friend Deyce brought me some birthday muffins (lemon and blueberry with a crumble topping) and she gave me a $5 gift card to Jamba Juice. The kids and I went there on Saturday evening to get smoothies.

Then....

My wonderful neighbor Laura asked to put the kids to bed for me so Logan and I could go out to dinner at Red Robin. We had some amazing burgers and fries and then came home to find this on our wall next to the kitchen. In each cute box was a little gift from her to me. In the smaller ones there were these delicious Dove peanut butter chocolate candies. And in the bigger ones there were different gifts including a loofa and body wash, lip balm, cute cupcake papers, Lipsmacker chap stick, and even a gift certificate to the dessert shop called The Chocolate. I can't wait to use that one. Anyway, it was such a fun surprise to open all of them in the next few days and discover new items. She is such a sweet friend!

Later that week on Friday we invited over some other couples (including our neighbors) and their kids for a barbecue. We grilled hotdogs and hamburgers, served corn on the cob, watermelon, chips and guacamole, and grilled pineapple. It was heaven! And I was so busy that I forgot to take any pictures of the whole sha-bang. Sorry!

With my birthday money from family this year I decided it was time to buy a new bedspread. I think I looked at a thousand of different ones before deciding to buy this one, and I'm completely happy with my choice. The colors in person were a little different than the pics online, but I love it still. And Logan thought it wasn't too heavy for him so that was even better.

The last thing of the week was our picnic up the canyon with the Barnetts. The day was over cast, and park we chose to go to wasn't busy at all so it made for a perfect day. The kids had a blast throwing rocks in the mountain stream and putting their feet in. And after we explored for awhile we got out our picnic lunch, ate together and then threw the Frisbee and played with the kids. It was an awesome finish to a wonderful week.
Their youngest boy, Owen, threw up on the car ride up to the park and the only clothes she had for him were a 3-6 month outfit. He is 15 months old now.
