The Beard Post

What you see here is the third annual Christmas Beard. I have to grow it out once a year just for fun, and the holidays are a perfect time for it because it is getting cold and I have little reason to look professional while on vacation. I love it because it's something different, despite what it does to my looks and my kisses. Most people tell me I look older with a beard, but here's your chance to tell me what you think. Leave a comment telling me which of the beard configurations you like most: full, chin strap, up-and-over, moustache or none. Blow the pictures up so you get a real good look. And include your name in the comment if you have a weird blogger ID like tagteam03 or something. I'll keep track and include the tally in a later post.

Boy, it is hard to choose! I like the mustache quite a bit, but I think I have to go with the up-and-over. That's a great look...

I'm still waiting for the Martin Harris style neck-only beard.

I think I liked the Jack Sparrow look the best...

but the clean shaven look reminds me of Lomo the most.

I like the mustache because you look like Luigi from Super Mario Bros.

Definitely clean shaven. But, hey, Braden could try out for an Orlando Bloom look-alike contest.

I noticed all the men seem to be in favor of your various and sundry bearded looks, but I would imagine I speak for many women when I say "clean-shaven is best", (I wish that rhymed). I know Hillary is on my side at least. :) You certainly did look older with the beard though. How many months of growth was it by the end?

I think I entered your blog by mistake. I was trying to log onto the ZZ Top Web site, but all I'm seeing here are girly-men beards. I'm bad. I'm nationwide.

These beards are a general vibe of subtle weirdness, a battle against suburban blandity.
