Finally...the Halloween Recap

This Halloween we had planned on picking out pumpkins at a farm in Santequin where you can take a trailer ride out to the pumpkin patch and pick your own. But time wouldn't allow us to this year between Logan's busy work schedule, teaching a class this fall and BYU football games every Saturday. So we decided that the closer and easier thing to do would be to go to the Vineyard Garden Center in Orem. It turned out to be just as fun for Leah though the day we went was pretty crowded.

Leah wanted to pick up smaller pumpkins that she liked, especially the little baby ones. Logan's dad and his two sisters were hanging out with us that day so they came along. It was hard to get her to stand still long enough to get a decent picture. Here is one where she wanted to give the pumpkin a kiss.

We also had big plans of carving our pumpkins with Logan's brother and his wife but Logan was working nights during the Halloween week, and Haley caught a cold and we didn't want to risk getting Leah sick.

So we just carved them the morning before Halloween with Leah, and she kept saying "Icky out. Icky, dada, icky." But she was excited about the finished product.

Logan entered his pumpkin in our ward's Halloween party contest, but neither of us were there when they announced the winners. He had to get back to work, and I took Leah home early to go to bed. His pumpkin did win a prize of three Hershey's chocolate bars, and he was pretty proud of that.
