January update (oh wait, it's February already)

I know I've been slacking on my blogging lately. I never miss reading other people's blogs each day, but I've been less motivated to post things myself and more interested in reading books, watching my favorites shows, playing basketball with friends and catching up on Facebook.

Anyway, here is the update from the last couple of weeks. Leah is growing up so quickly and continues to amaze us and frustrate us daily. As you can see, she loves to pose for pictures and sometimes gets jealous when we snap shots of Cameron. She has learned all her ABC's, recognizes them wherever we go, and tries to guess the beginning letter of words based on the sound. I was wondering in the past if she would ever be interested in learning her letters, and it was just a matter of time. She loves doing words games on the computer with me.

I have been behind in blogging about Cameron's development. He just turned 14 months at the end of January and continues to amaze us and make us laugh all the time. Here are some things he likes to do:

  • DROOL and it never bothers him that his shirt is sopping wet
  • Play with his wild animals and growl while he's playing
  • Chase Leah and mommy around the house
  • Give hugs and kisses (he is more generous about this with Logan maybe because he doesn't see him as often)
  • EAT, EAT and EAT some more (that comes from my side of the family because my brothers are all tall and were bottomless pits)
  • Use the signs that he knows (more, drink, milk, please, monkey, cat and he makes a lot of animal sounds - cow, sheep, horse, elephant, monkey)
  • Sleep with his favorite blanket and wad it up into a big ball
Lately they both love sitting at the table to color. Leah has phases where she wants to color all the time or wants nothing to do with coloring. And lately she wants to draw or color all the time, so Cameron of course wants to do whatever she is doing. I usually sit with Cameron on my lap and draw pictures for him while he scribbles.

And usually the one time I can count on them playing nice together is in the bath tub. We were being silly with their hair and the shampoo.
