I can't believe it! Where have the last six months go? Leah went from only saying maybe 20 words or less to talking in sentences in the last few months. Now she can pretty much say anything she wants and sing songs from her favorite Disney movies which include:
Sleeping Beauty
Beauty and the Beast
The Little Mermaid
Aladdin
An American Tail
Jungle Book
Tarzan
(and there are others)

There's no Disney movie she hasn't liked so far. Sometimes she will wake up in the mornings and first thing out of her mouth is "Watch movie". She tries to say it over and over when we say no or if we aren't listening to her. She is very persistent.
Leah continues to be a great big sister. She always thinks Cameron has a poopy diaper and wants to help change him. Today I got home from two grocery stores, and I was worn out carrying kids around and carrying groceries in. I looked over to see Leah leaning over Cameron's car seat talking to him and trying to put his binkie in his mouth.
And I've also heard her saying the same things we say to him "Cameron, stinky diaper" or "Almost there, Cameron" or "It's okay, Cameron". She is very sweet to him. She likes to hold him too.One time Logan said "Is Cameron crying?" and she said "No, other baby."

She also loves to play at the park, which hasn't happened too often around here because the weather turned cold again the last couple of days. So I usually take her to the mall indoor play area, to Artic Circle with a playground inside, or to a place called Kangaroo Zoo with big blow up slides and bouncy gyms.
I try to go places in the mornings so she can get her energy out and feel tired enough to take a nap. This technique has worked pretty well this week. She has stopped fighting her naps or just playing in her room which has been a big relief for me. I've been able to take a few naps this week too. She loves to read books before bed and loves for us to tell her stories. Sometimes when she wakes up at night, she wants us to tell her more stories. And they are mostly stories from her favorite movies.
She loves nursery at church and doesn't mind being left with babysitters now. I think she feels more independent since she can talk more and because she is a big girl and sister now. She remembers people's names in the ward and where they live. And she remembera what she did with her grandparents or what they gave her. I just can't believe how grown up she has gotten.
Just recently she has been interested in using the potty and has even gone a few times. The problem is I'm usually busy with feeding or changing Cameron so I can't always help her go or be consistent. She does like to use it before she takes a nap. And today she actually went pee and poop in the potty (pardon my speech). I hope we can get her out of diapers soon. That would be so nice to just have one in diapers.

She is getting so big! I can't believe you have a family....I still remember when we were growing up...goodness, things change!
That's so awesome she's starting to potty train! And yes, I saw Melissa dance. She was pretty good! I thought she would be though- all that dance background. Good choice for a last minute contestant.
Gotta love those Disney princesses! Hope you guys are doing well!!
Hey Hillary! Sorry it took me so long to respond. I'm so new at the blogging thing and I couldn't figure out how to leave comments! Anyways, we did move. We bought a home here in Orem near the center street exit and we love it! You're welcome to stop by anytime. Your children are adorable and Cameron is the cutest little boy! Hope all is well!
