Memorial Day hiking

We had a great Memorial Day weekend with our friends, the Barnetts. We decided to plan our dinners with them each day because neither of us had plans. We did a dining review with them on Saturday, then had them over for roast pork and sweet potato fries on Sunday, and on Monday we went hiking up at Cascade Springs. The Barnetts had never been before, so we got to show them around. It was a perfect hike to take kids, but the drive is a little long.

Leah loved walking along with her friends Emma and Aiden, and as you can see she even brought along her favorite little kitty named "Pup". Cameron's favorite thing was to lean down and put his stick in the water. His arms weren't long enough to touch the water so a stick worked a lot better. We had to watch him carefully so he didn't fall in. As you can see from the pictures, it was a beautiful day and after hiking we sat down and had lunch.

And their 3-month-old Owen did great along the hike snoozing in his cozy sling. I'm amazed that Laura can carry him around all day. He is so cute and getting so chubby.

Monday night we had the Barnetts over again for dinner, and Laura helped us make homemade barbeque chicken pizza and alfredo chicken pizza. Both of them tasted delicious, and we got to help along the process. I think now I might even try to make it on my own. We had such a wonderful weekend that it was hard to have Logan go back to work on Tuesday. At least it's a short work week for him. Enjoy the pictures.
