Trick or "Snacking"

The whole week before Halloween we told Leah that she would get to wear her "girl Nana dress" and get lots of snacks. She was so excited when the day finally arrived.

Now let me explain the references. She calls all the Disney princesses "girl" and all of her dresses "Nana". She started calling them Nana after I told her once that Nana (my mom) bought her dress. Now she refers to all of her dresses as "nana" even if it was Logan's mom who bought them or me. This time the Cinderella costume she wore for Halloween was given to her from Nana so I guess it applies.

And she calls any kind of fruit snack or piece of candy "snack". So when we went trick or treating, she would say "more snack please". Or she would walk right into the person's house and immediately grab a piece of candy from their bowl. She knew the drill. And most all of our neighbors were kind enough to let her pick out one or sometimes even two.

Because Logan had to work late that night, his sister Kelcy accompanied us out trick or treating and helped me get Leah in and out of the wagon she was riding in.

We made a loop around our church building which is right across the street and came back in time for Leah to eat some candy before bedtime. Just the one little block around the church made us all tired. The next few days after Halloween Leah asked for her "snacks" and was rewarded with some only if she took a good nap or slept in her bed all night. You can read more about Leah's trick to get candy on Logan's latest column called the Skinny.

Looks like Leah's got the whole trick or treating thing down pat. What a cute little girl. Loved seeing your cute pumpkins and the cute shot of you being pregnant. Hope everything goes smoothly as the due date approaches :)
