This time when we got out of the car, she went running up the path so excited to see all the little water falls. I left her bend down and touch the water which she thought was so fun. I think she was just excited to be out of the car after the 40 minute car ride winding up the Alpine Loop. It was so fun to see how green it was up in the mountains since we've had so much rain this year.
This place is such a fun and easy hike for families with young children. We were able to take our stroller with Cameron in it and only had to lift it up one section that had stairs.
On the way home we drove up the backside of Cascade Springs on a gravel road that brought you down by Midway and Deer Creek Reservoir. That was a pretty short drive but bumpy with all the rocks. It was a great ride home until the end when Leah forgot to tell us she needed to use the bathroom and peed in her car seat. She was pretty traumatized because she couldn't get out of her wet seat. I don't think I blame her. We finally made it home for naps and some relaxation time.
Oh, and when we were up at Cascade Springs, we ran into our old friends from our Chicago ward (Gavin and Lindsey C). They were there with their two kids, and their little girl is just the same age as Leah. It was so funny to run into them in such a remote area of Utah. It was fun to catch up with them. I just wish I remembered to take a picture together with them.
