An afternoon of swimming

I promised to post some pictures of when we went swimming last Friday, and here they are. We went to Logan's dad's place after the zoo (look down to the next post to see more about the zoo), ate lunch, and put the kids down for a nap. After they woke up we headed down to the indoor swimming pool located in his apartment complex. The water was so warm and felt like bath water.

This was Cameron's first time swimming, and he LOVED it! He couldn't get enough of it. He was moving his feet and arms all around in the water (what he does normally) and when he accidentally splashed himself in the face, he didn't even seem to mind it. There is such a difference between boys and girls. He already seems like he'll be a little fish.

We didn't bring a swim diaper for him, but just a regular one that blew up really big. And you'll notice in the last picture of him that he was sucking on his lower lip a lot while we were in the pool. He was so funny to watch him. He also likes to suck on his tongue a lot during the day, especially when he is really concentrating.








































Leah also loved going swimming and jumping off the side of the pool. I have done swimming lessons with her the last two summer so I hope she is getting comfortable in the water. I just need to get her some kind of floating device so she can have more freedom in the water and practice swimming around on her own.

Oh and before we went swimming, I accidentally gave Leah part of a peanut (I wanted to just give her a bite of chocolate from some trail mix but gave her some peanut instead) that she promptly spit out.

Then we noticed her face broke out in a little rash where she had eaten the peanut, and she kept itching the spot. We gave her some allergy medicine, and thankfully she didn't get sick anymore from it. I guess she hasn't grown out of her peanut allergy, and we just need to be more careful with her.
